Loving Skeptism Could Be Killing American Kids

Screen Shot 2013-11-19 at 4.23.45 PMIn the past year, I’ve seen a trend among my American FB friends.  I cannot tell you the number of times I’ve read about someone’s teenager, or a 20-something year old, suddenly dying for ‘no apparent reason’, only to hear later that it was a diagnosis of cardiac arrest or simply unexplained.

My husband insists I hear about things like this a lot more because the internet has opened a vast new world and if I wasn’t using social media then I wouldn’t be hearing about it. My husband is often a loving skeptic.
We may later find that alcohol or drugs were part of these young people’s habits, but not in all cases, nor was it the cause.  Lets see if I can put this into perspective for those who need numbers to analyze whether I’m mere seeing things or if there is something factual about my report.

At the time of this writing I have 2,400+ FB friends, but it was much less a few months ago. Who knows how many of my facebook friends are parents, but lets just say about half are. That’s comes out to be around 1200 people.

How many of those are loving parents of young people? Lets really stretch that and say a quarter of them are – that’s 300.

In the past 18 months I’ve read about 3 parents of teens collapsing (in death), 1 case that was a ‘friend of a facebook friend’ and 1 was a brother-in-law of a very close facebook friend. So 5 young people all total, each diagnosed with cardiac arrest.

This doesn’t seem too vast to me. In fact, that seems pretty convincing that there is something going on.

My Own Heart

My own heart, over the past year, has had a number of cardiac arrhythmias that feel like my heart is going to pound out of the middle of my chest. Most people don’t even notice when this happens. I notice it because I watch what I eat and I listen to my body. I researched the ingredients to know what I ate whenever my heart felt over-stimulated. The common themes; Monosodium glutamate, aspartame and or gluten.

Just this night alone was interesting.  My husband had been craving Chinese food for several days. On our way back from from North Screen Shot 2013-11-19 at 4.53.00 PMCarolina, ziplining at Navitat, he decided to stop and eat at a mall food court. Of course we both had an abundance of Chinese food. (Yes, I do indulge sometimes even when I know better), and by midnight, not only was I in pain but my heart raced twice.

Guess which ethnic (and delicious) food is known to be smothered in those ingredients?

Now to those of you who are in the medical profession, I understand that this could also be a relatable symptom to say… stress, heart murmurs, food sensitivities and perhaps caused by many other contributing factors. But since no one else is asking this question, I will.

Why does it happen after eating foods containing these particular ingredients?

Do Your Research

I’ve spent a lot of time doing my own research on one of the most trusted sources out there today is by Dr. Mercola, who urges you to take control of your own health. He had an article about the side affects of MSG where Dr. Russell Blaylock, a board-certified neurosurgeon and author of “Excitotoxins: The Taste that Kills.” explains that MSG is an excitotoxin, which means it overexcites your cells to the point of damage or death.

If your kids are struggling with learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, or if you have parents with Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Lou Gehrig’s disease and more, just consider what they might be consuming. It might be much easier to switch to a diet of healthier food than it is to watch your loved-one succumb to an illness that could have been prevented with a little more attention to what goes in their digestive system.

Our Bodies Are Designed to Heal

It will take time to undo the damage, but our bodies are created to heal themselves.

There is so much more I could share here with you about all the medicines, pesticides and daily chemicals we abuse our bodies with, but I’m not an expert on this subject and everyone’s situation is unique.  However, to all the skeptics out there – do your own research before you merely say that food allergies are ridiculous.  If you’ll spend time and energy researching how much it might cost you to put four brand new tires on your vehicle, and then get them balanced, then take just as much time to find out how to keep your kids intestines, heart or life running healthier.

Parents if you want to start educating yourself for the sake of your kids, start by finding out about gluten and how you can help them live healthier lives by eliminating many of the foods on today’s shelves and cooking healthier.

This is Not a Fad

There are more and more people searching for gluten-free products for a reason.

I’ll give you a link to a summit I was recently told about if you click right here. I became an affiliate immediately because I know the affects gluten has on all of us, so I plan to share it often.  I care about America’s health.
